Scout Programs
DAISY
OUTDOOR ART MAKER BADGE
This program is offered May through September.
Daisy Scouts will explore our Dog Walking Trail to look for inspiration in nature to create their own outdoor artwork. This program includes activities and lessons to complete the requirements of the Daisy “Outdoor Art Maker” badge as well as a presentation about the Washington Area Humane Society, tour of our shelter, and a meet and greet with an adoptable animal. This program lasts about 1 hour and is suggested for Daisy-aged girls (5-7 years old).
Badges are not included. The WAHS patch is available to purchase for $5 each.
Pricing for Daisy Scouts: $100 flat rate fee for Troops
Minimum # of Scouts: 5 Maximum # of Scouts: 15
Scouts/Troop Leaders/Parents/Siblings are included in the minimum/maximum numbers.
All programs are offered on-site at the Washington Area Humane Society.
There will be an additional $50 fee for programs that start after 5 pm.
BROWNIE

This program includes activities and lessons to complete the requirements of the Brownie “Pets” badge as well as a presentation about the Washington Area Humane Society, tour of our shelter, and a meet and greet with an adoptable animal. This program lasts about 1.5 hours and is suggested for Brownie-aged girls (7-10 years old).

This program includes activities and lessons to complete the requirements of the Junior “Animal Habitats” badge as well as a presentation about the Washington Area Humane Society, tour of our shelter, and a meet and greet with an adoptable animal. This program lasts about 2 hours and is suggested for Junior-aged girls (8-12 years old).
