Want to Plan an Event?
The Humane Society always receives a lot of requests to attend various
events, some with and some without dogs and/or cats. We would love to
participate in them all, but we simply do not have enough volunteers to
do it.
If you or your organization is considering an event for WAHS, please
contact our Alice Wancowicz (wahsoffsites@gmail.com,
724-222-7387 x406) as early as possible
to see if we will be able to participate.

We are participating in the Mylan Class golf
event "Tickets Fore Charity" fundraising. If you purchase tickets for
this event, WAHS will receive credit for your purchase.
If you will be going to this great golf
event, go to the
Mylan Classic web site to purchase tickets. Just be sure to select
"Washington Area Humane Society" as the beneficiary. |

Don't Miss Fur Ball 2010! |

The Washington Area Humane Society is
pleased to announce the 2nd Annual “Fur Ball,” a semi-formal,
fundraising gala to be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Jeremiah’s
Banquet and Conference Center in Washington, PA. All proceeds from this
event will support the Washington Area Humane Society.
As a contributor or attendee you will
help the shelter to save countless animals. There are a variety of
sponsorship opportunities or you can donate items for our Chinese and
silent auctions. Your participation is vital for us to have a
successful fundraising event. We are grateful for your consideration of

Dogs
on Parade |
|
The city of Washington, PA is celebrating
its bicentennial, and part of the festivities included the “History,
Heritage and Heroes Parade” on Main Street in Washington on July 31.
Along with the bands, fire trucks, floats and classic cars, WAHS was
represented by both human and canine marchers.
